Every month, Willowberry natural skincare supports a different charity. We can't donate huge amounts, but that shouldn't mean that we don't donate at all.
Our charity of the month is Sue Ryder, which supports people living with a terminal illness or a neurological condition and provides bereavement support to those who have lost a loved one.
The Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice is local to Willowberry and is the only specialist hospice care inpatient unit in the county of Gloucestershire. In addition to its inpatient unit, there is a day hospice and a Hospice at Home service.
The Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice alone costs £3.7m a year to run. With 1.2m received in statuatory funding last year, the remaining 2.5 million needed each year relies on your donations or volunteering (last year, 242 volunteers provided support worth £477,000).
Every little helps; for instance, £4 pays for a day's supply of beverage for visitors; £10 pays the travel costs for a community nurse to provide at-home care; £50 pays for a bereavement counselling session.
We have donated Willowberry skincare gift bags to all the Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court in-patients, which they received on Christmas day. We also donated a Willowberry Luxury Skincare Gift Set as a raffle prize, to help the Sue Ryder fundraising efforts.
